Poem: No Matter what You Say
« on: November 20, 2006, 06:02:13 pm »
Ever since I became obsessed with SB, my family keeps making fun of him. They never did before, in fact they even liked him and laughed at the show several times before. This is a poem I wrote about it. It's kinda short, but makes a good point.

You might hate him, but I am not you.
Your words can never change me.
I'll love SpongeBob wether you want me to or not.
You can call him ugly.
You can say he's gay.
You can tell me to move on.
You can think he's old.
You can call him immature.
You can tell me he's boring.
You can express all the opinions you want,
but your hate doesn't change my love.
When you use words like that against me,
you're only wasting your time.
They have no affect on me,
so I wouldn't even try.
If you ignore my advice to you,
and throw your insults back in my face,
but when and if you do,
remember one thing.
Your words of hate can never change me.

Oooooh! Whose point of view is this poem's? Squidward's? Patrick's? Squilliam Fancyson's?
(I'm AOK with slash. If you wonder.)

Thanks, and the speaker in this poem could be almost anyone like me, who's insulted for loving something.
