Christmas can be religious. For some, its Santa coming , for others , its the celebration of the birth of Jesus.

But however, both men seem to be made out as good and holy people. So somehow they are kinda the same thing...
Sometimes when I sleep at night I think of (Dr. Seuss's) 'Hop on Pop.'

They may seem like the same thing...but one guy rewards you whilst you're ALIVE...the other can only reward you when you DIE.
I, personally, don't beleive in either. lol.

Are you guys really bothered by the commercialization of Christmas?

Is there a time, in the 20th and 21st centuries, when Christmas wasn't commercialized?

It doesn't bother me at all.  Christmas has always been commercialized, hence the movies, toy sales, candy sales, etc...  Commercialization is part of Christmas.  What I don't like are all the stupid Christmas movies though, like Christmas with the Kranks and Deck the Halls.

Well I'm a christian, so to me it is, but like some other people said; Sometimes I kinda feel that since Chirstmas had become so commercialized over the years, it's more of a way for buisnesses to make extra money than to celebrate Santa and the birth of Jesus.

Even if you don't buy into all the commercializations, it's still usually viewed as a time to meet together with your family. That's not really religious.

Depends. For some it's still religous. For me it's now just an excuse to sell crud. I saw X-mas commercialsin October!!!
Sad that every holiday is now an excuse for stores to sell stuff. :(

What they have done to A Christmas Story is a crime against fine art.

They soundchopped some sales nonsense over the scene where Santa pushed the kid down the slide with his foot. It made me cry inside.
