This was on the news the other day as well. More people would vote for a female then a black man.  I think it just has to do with the few warry people about the gangsters and black scholarships. There is still racism in that.

I personally would vote for a white female. We have never had a female in office, no matter what color.

A person interviewed said we are more ready to have a female president then an african american one at this time.

Depends on who the best candidate is.  I don't pay attention to race and gender in politics.  Who cares as long as they seem like they would be better than other candidates?

It depends who the better candidate is...if it's another old white guy who is the better candidate, I will vote for him. If it's a black male, I will vote for him. If it's a female, I'll vote.

Well...when I am legal to vote.

Speaking realistically, the choice will not be the next Presidential election, but the 2008 Democrat Primary, between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, among others.  In that case, I would most certainly vote for Barack Obama, if I was registered as a Democrat.  In general, as stated before, it depends on the specific candidate, not gender or race.

See, that is why I see a problem with a women or a minority running for presidency... people would vote for them for that EXACT reason... because they are a female or a minority.

Don't misinterperate me either... if a black or women gets elected that is great, I am just fearful people will elect them for that reason, and that reason alone.

That might happen for hillary on a small scale, but it'll happen with obama on an even smaller scale. Once you hear him speak and think, you know he's the h4x0r that we need as a president...

I'd vote for whichever candidate had better politics.  But in the present situation, between Obama and Hillary (seeing as how that's who's being implied here)...I'd vote for Obama far before I voted for Hillary.

I would vote for the better president.

If you mean Barrack Obama vs. Hilary Clinton, Barrack Obama easily. Reading about him, I realized he basically sees all the problems I see.
