Alright....lemme lay it down.

you'd see no difference between x16 + x16 and x8 + x8 unless you had super high end cards, and even then it would be a stupid amount.

I don't think, at all, that you'd need an SLI setup. a 7600GT is enough to run most games on high settings (not super high, but just high). If games become unplayable on that card, it won't be for another 6-8 years.

Those case companies that you posted are 2 of the worst, and their power supplies are horrible. They can possibly blow your whole system apart

I'd look at:
apevia: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?Page=3&Category=9&Nty=1&N=2010090007+50001998&Submit=ENE&Subcategory=7&Manufactory=1998
cooler master: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?Brand=1333&N=2000090007+50001333&Submit=ENE&Manufactory=1333&SubCategory=7
aerocool: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?Brand=1960&N=2000090007+50001960&Submit=ENE&Manufactory=1960&SubCategory=7
logisys: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?Brand=1885&N=2000090007+50001885&Submit=ENE&Manufactory=1885&SubCategory=7
nzxt: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?Brand=2120&N=2000090007+50002120&Submit=ENE&Manufactory=2120&SubCategory=7
xg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811106003
sunbeam: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.asp?Brand=1903&N=2000090007+50001903&Submit=ENE&Manufactory=1903&SubCategory=7

i wouldn't normally recommend alot of the cases i just linked to, but the cooler master Centurion 5 is a case that millions have worked with. Its an easy case, but you'd need a power supply to go with it.

Here are some PSUs that I'd recommend:

As far as PSUs go, if your case you pick out doesn't come with one, then I'd recommend one of the following:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817128005
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817812002

That last one especially....that's one heck of a nice rebate with that....it's usually alot more...

Wait...what's your cash limit now? lol...you keep on upgrading stuff and I was trying to stay near the 700$ mark without accessories...

Get that first case that you like. It's a great case. I've built 2 systems for friends with it. That's why I put that page up there :)

As far as motherboards go, haven't you noticed that most of them have only 3 PCI slots? What are you gonna put in the 3 PCI slots to fill them up? If anything, a new sound card. And that's about as far as most people ever get. Don't rule out mATX motherboards if you don't mind losing SLI...cause it's definently a cheaper and still useful alternative...cause 2 PCI slots is more than enough for anyone.

But if you're deadset on 3 PCI slots, then I can only truly recommend one of the motherboards you posted....

i dont care about 3 pci slots. If its really much cheaper, uses less power, and has the same performance as a normal atx mobo then ill give the matx a try.

same cash limit but without the os ill have money to play with. plus i dont want to upgrade for a long time so i want the best for under $700.

plus, believe me, the mATX mobo will look ALOT nicer in that case and will be MUCH easier to install (the case is beautiful, but it is a bit small on the inside).

I also suggest buying 1 120mm fan for the back (instead of the 80mm) and moving the 80mm that's there to the side window (where the useless cpu vent is). Then grab 1 or 2 more 80mm fans for the front of the case to keep air moving across the hard drives (there's spots for 2 in the front).

It's got vents for 2 fans in the front bottom for cooling the hard drives. A hot harddrive is an unhappy harddrive :/

As for mATX mobos, unfortunately every Core2Duo one is mostly overpriced at the moment, except for a few.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813135032
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813186110

The first one is your average board with no issues, and the 2nd board is a more feature-rich mATX board with everything but the kitchen sink :)

btw, I was picking from boards that would look good inside your case...no green or yellow mobos would ever look good inside a black and blue case :P

You can still go with a full size ATX one if you want (especially the one i recommended previously), but having a bigger board that's drawing more power for features that you're not using feels....inefficient...

so after seeing those i think ill stick with the normal atx one you suggested.

i will buy those fans that you suggested.

edit(after accidental 2nd post):
okay so these are the fans Im looking at
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811999072
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835185002

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811999071

I have the 120mm there.
Which 80mm's should I choose?
and if none of the ones that I chose are good, which one would you recommend thats not on my list.

Since the case is made by aspire (now known as apevia), I'd go with their brand of fans to keep the colors the same. Sometimes blue LEDs look completely different colors, depending on how cheap the LED is.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811998101
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811998121

I own one of their 80mm fans, and it indeed is very silent, and a nice dark shade of blue :)
And I bought a 120mm Aspire fan for a friend's case once, and it was so quiet that I thought it wasn't on :O

so heres a really bad drawing of my house.

Notice that my computer would be on one side and my dads(where the router/modem is) on the other side.
My dad doesn't want to get an Ethernet cable and make it go from one side of the house to the other, so in the earlier years we had wireless internet but it sucked and the connection was really lost by my room(it was at about 25%) and kept disconnecting. So fast forward a couple of years my old computer in my room is now in the game room (next to the router, with an ethernet cable) and I have no computer in my room. When i said I wanted one the first thing to come up was internet, so I suggested to just buy a modem for my room, I already have the cable connector in thier for my tv so whenever I would want to use the internet I would disconnect it from my tv into the modem so i could use the internet.

so I was wrong its not gonna be my final list. Im looking at new mobos and a new case that comes with a 500W psu. Im pretty sure Ill stick with this case and psu but Im also pretty sure IM gonna change the mobo.

I like how the other case comes with a 500W psu and is cheaper then just the case I want but I just like the one I want so much I don't think Ill change it. By the way heres the case Im looking at but probably won't get.
