Poll

What are your views on gay marriage?

I am pro-gay marriage and pro-civil unions. Everyone deserves the right to marry.
I am pro-civil unions and anti-gay marriage. Marriage is between one man and one women but same sex couples still deserve government benefits.
I am anti-civil unions and pro-gay marriage. Civil unions just aren't enough. Same sex couples deserve marriage.
I am anti-civil unions and anti-gay marriage. Marriage should equal one man and one women. Period. No exceptions.
I do not believe in the establishment of marriage.
I don't really care.

Ok, this is a poll on gay marriage. It's more then just the generic yes and no. Let us know what you think, state your reasoning.

Love is love; you should be able to have the freedom (land of the free) to marry who you want.  It should be the people's choice to decide if they want to marry same-sex people or not, that goes with religion.  If they're gay, but very religious, then for God's sake don't marry them, just live with them.  If they're gay and not very religious, then go ahead and get married.  Separation of church and state, combined with the freedom of the American people should prove that gay marriage should be allowed.  Have the government allow it, let the people make the choice as to how THEY want to live.  Don't deny them equal rights just because some people are homophobic.  Also, homophobia is ignorant.  I would really like to see there be a homosexual president at one point, that would be great.  People are people; don't put homosexuals into another species just because of their sexuality.

That being said, I voted for the first one.

The first one.
Just because a person lives a different lifestyle doesn't mean that they should be denied marriage.

I can understand certain religious organizations denying the right, but not the state. They need to remain separate!

I chose 'I don't care' because it's up to the ones getting married or wanting to be married.
Don't ask for 'what would I do?' because I don't want to marry.

I am not for or against gay marriage just like I am not for or against hetrosexual marriage. As long as both adults are consenting then why would it matter? Love is love.

The state should have no authority here.

That's what Jesus really wants, doesn't he? A girl to be separated from her mother.

This is another reason Christianity needs to be de-rooted from America... because you get stupid fundie judges like that who would rather a child be homeless than be with a loving same sex couple. Sickening.
