The Beatles

Who's listening to The Beatles right now or enjoy listening to them? I'm practically obsessed with The Beatles... I have a poster, two books (one's a Revolver songbook I found in an antique shop for $15), a couple of CDs, a couple of old vinyl records that I've found in record stores, etc. And I have a Beatles website.

So...

Yeah you're new here but you'll soon learn my evil ways. Haha yes I have heard of the Beatles. They are one of my favorite bands ever. I even had a Beatles avatar for a while. They are groovy.

But have you seen any of their movies?

I don't care what people say about the Magical Mystery Tour movie, you have to appreciate how high they were when it was filmed.

The Beatles defined a generation with their acid trips and meditation. I still have the album #1 in my room.

1 barely scratches the surface of the Beatles' repertoire.

"I've Just Seen a Face" is one of my absolute favorite songs. Shame you don't hear that one much anymore.

And there is no greater cover of any song in this world than "Twist and Shout".

It does have people a taste of The Beatles, greatest hits are  a great way to introduce people to a band.

I agree. "1" isn't the best representation of what they've done (and it's a little heavy on the ballads, light on the experimental stuff), but it is a good refresher/introduction. I would never be caught buying it, but I would reccomend it to people who want to get started.

Or just give them "The Beatles (The White Album)".
