Topic: When will SpongeBob come to an end?

I hope it doesn't, i hope it goes on incessantly.  It is inscrutable why so many people are critical to the new episodes.  I love them.  The writing is great.  The ones that arn't really split-you-sides-from-laughter are still very enjoyable to watch.  They aren't monotonous in the least in my stong opinionated opinion.  They are using Mr. Eugene H. Krabs more often, further maddeing me towards the adverse critics. He has always been the best and funniest character, as I'm sure you all know.  These new episodes crack me up.  Why do some people think it needs to come to an end?  If the writing is still so good, and the sho such a joy to watch, then WHY?!!!  I don't think the show will ever be cancelled in the visible forseeable future.  It is the most phanominally popular show ever to air on Nick.  They make so much money in merchandise.  So many, many people love it, they can't afford to end it.  That is why I think we will enjoy many more new and glorious episodes, for years to come.

Well, I'll have to agree Nick probably won't end it too soon because of merchandising... They're far too greedy to end such a profiting show.

But as for the writing, I'll sort of have to disagree. Yes, it is getting a lot better now, but throughout most of season 4 it was like SpongeBob became a completely different show.

Bad move. I hate the idea that the simpsons is still going on. It should've ended a long time ago. It's run out of fresh ideas to do something. Don't need to do it anymore.

I honestly think, like every once in a while when I tune into SpongeBob...the show seems to be getting really repetitive and formulaic. I think that the show, unless there is a drastic change in the writing, should close shop relativly soon. The first 3 seasons alone were good enough and even the movie was actually quite entertaining, but Season 4 has not been doing it for me.
