It's time for DANIEL to teach you how the gods and titans came into being.
Ok. Gae(Gay uh) was barren. There was nothing on her(she is earth...). Then, Uranus, or, in roman, Caellus, came and fertilized her. He is the heavens/sky.
They had kids. I am skipping the kids except the titans, the others do not matter right now.
The titans were born. Their names were Oceanus, Tethys, Hyperion, Theia,Coeus, Phoebe, Cronus, Rhea, Mnemosyne, Themis, Crius and Iapetus. Gae was NOT happy with Uranus locking her previous kids(not the titans) away. So she gave Cronus a Silver Sickle and told him to go castrate Uranus.
He cut off Uranus's testicles and dolphin noise and threw them into the sea. As he was dieing, he threatened that Cronus's son would do the same to him. (Side story-On some accounts, Aphrodite(Venus) came out of the dolphin noise of Uranus that was thrown into the sea.)
Cronus(saturn) married his sister, Rhea, and they had kids. He swallowed each of them as soon as they were born, so it would not happen.
Except with the last one. Rhea took Zeus and hid him, and had the Nymphs take care of him.
She gave Cronus a rock that he thought was Zeus, and he swallowed it.
When he grew up, Gae gave him a potion to force Cronus to throw up the contents of his stomach.
And thus the gods were re-born.
They Defeated Cronus and went to live on Mount Olympus.
They were Zeus, god of thunder, Poseidon, god of the sea, Hades, god of the dead, Demeter, god of harverst, Hestia, god of the hearth(wtf does that mean?)and Hera, god of purity.
All the other gods came from them. =O
