Topic: The roles of Man and Woman

What is your opinion on the typical men going to work; women raise the children and keep the house in order? It's starting to become more acceptable to be a female doing a man's "job" but what about the flip side? What about a man doing a woman's "job"? Do you think that now that we have more options this will change drastically or do you think as a majority females will still want to stay home and men will still want to be the bread winners?

The media is guilty of this. When you see a mop commercial how many times do you see a man cleaning the house? Do you think its right that they portray the typical roles in ads on TV? Does it bother you? Have you not noticed? Or do you just not care? Or make up commercials. They are always targeted towards females. There are a large amount of young males who do wear makeup. I personally am a bit surprised they haven't started broadening their audience. I understand that girls are the larger consumer for makeup products but that's the result in it not being socially acceptable for males to wear makeup.

I guess I am a little rough around the edges. I am not your typical text book female though am far from being the original tom boy. I've been sick at home a lot recently and those darn TV ads are really getting to me. Probably not the most exciting debate but hey, let's give her a shot.

the mans role, moneymaker.
so if she makes twice as much money as you, you still need to pay, because when you marry she will still be the homemaker.

Are you crazy they always make commericials where the man is real stupid and the woman riddles the man!!!  Society is crumbling cause they are trying to make men out to look stupid and bad.  How many fathers you see on TV now adays are Ward Cleaver types?  0!!!  They are all dumb dysfunctional fathers such as Homer Simpson and Peter Griffen!!!  I hate women's lib.  I think that the men should be the head of the families!!!
