FINE I'LL EXPLAIN SINCE SOMEONE HERE THINKS THAT FACTORING IS INVOLVED WHEN YOU ARE TRYING TO MAP PUT A PARABOLA >_>

Alright, you can already tell the direction of the parabola. It's positive so it'll go upward. If the equation was y=-x^2-4, then the parabola would go downward making it negative (as -x shows.)

Pick five numbers and make a chart. Choose something like 2, 1, 0, -1, -2. Start the chart off like this:

x|y=x^2-4|y|(x,y) <--Have those numbers I just mentioned each substitute for x. Now that you have an equation to work with, solve it
and you'll have your answer to y. I'll work a couple of them out for you so you know what to do.

2|y=(2)^2-4|0|(2,0)
1|y=(1)^2-4|-3|(1,-3)

There, now just substitute the other numbers for x and then solve for y. Once you're done, map out the parabola and HOLY dolphin noise YOU'RE DONE
You can also use a TI-84 calculator and go to graph. Just type the equation in there if you are lazy.
