That would be like asking a fish why it swims. :o
The title of this thread is "The Ctrl + V Game" (and I started threads like this on two other BBSs), so I post whatever I have in my CTRL-V buffer. B)

No, no. Why do you post scores of lighting luminosity and spectrum reviews on a Spongebob Squarepants message board?

Alright, you don't like rhetorical questions. I'll phrase it in a form of an assertion.

You are playing a game. This "game" revolves around linking to your own site. You play it on an almost inactive message board. No one else is playing the game with you. You keep replying to your own posts, sometimes for ten days at a time, one post each day.

A guy comes along and asks you a rhetorical question, in hopes of an illuminating answer. He gets a tautology - "I'm doing it because I'm doing it."

I'm sorry - I didn't realise you were asking a rhetorical question; I had no intention whatsoever of giving you a tautology.

But what I answered with is the truth: the material is in my CTRL-V buffer because I post it to two other BBSs every morning.
I also started a "The CTRL-V Game" thread on two other BBSs (one is a board I post these spectrographic & beam cross-sectional analyses and new product evaluations on, the other is about TV commercials).
