A while back the we were able to see our warning level, and it freaked out alot of people, and caused some problems. So cmonkey turned it off...
What this would do is possibly keep you from being banned. Because you can see your warning level, and chill, before you get banned for flaming, spamming...whatever!
So "in your opinion" should he turn it back on, or not?
I voted yes, what did you vote, and why?

Why did it freak out people? I mean, the people who had high warning bar should know why, because of all the times they got messages giving them warnings. I vote yes.

Eh, I think it should stay down. The mods/admins were abusing it. And plus, the people who got warned usually didn't care.

Well check out "So Why Am I Retarted" forum. It's locked but it's still interested to look at. You'll understand the mods were abusing the privledge of having a warning bar.

SSS< it's deleted. But he mostly took it away because of people freaking out. You still get the warnings, but YOU can't see it. This is what eeryone did:

"AHH! WHY DO I HAVE SO MANY WARNINGS!?!?!" You still get the warnings, but just can't see it.

I'd like to know in what way we were abusing it. Give me some evidence. Its pretty easy for anyone to say the evidence was in a topic that has been deleted. This looks to me like another idiotic post made by people who can't handle a little bit of rules. Why would anybody want to see a warning bar from somebody else? Maybe because you idiots would have another reason to start dumb fights with people again? Grow up people. Or better yet: Get a life.

NEWS FLASH- Mods and Admins can still see your warning bar. And, we never 'abused' the warning bar.

The good ol' warning bar. I really don't want to have to deal with people complaining again. I suppose I could clear all the old warning and start it over again. I don't really want to allow people to see thier own warnings right now because they weren't meant to be shown. They were there so that mods and admins could keep track of how many warnings a person had, so we would know when someone needed a ban... So, I'm going to try to clear the warnings, and then I might re-enable it...

I have just a few things to say. Okay, maybe more. Here goes.

First off, I voted 'Yes'. Even though I can see my own warning, and everyone else's, I remembered when cmonkey enabled it. I thought it was a great idea; it could prevent many people from being banned and make the forums a lot cleaner...because many members don't realize what they're doing wrong.

Then it was taken away. Wanna know why? It was because someone started a thread complaining. They looked at their warnings and the descriptions. Some said "Retard" or some other random insult. A few select members were outraged that the Mods "degraded" them like that.

I didn't really understand this. The warnings were never meant to be shown to anyone besides the Mods. Usually, the Mods just enter a reason-- when warning someone, you have to enter something, and they usually made it short to get on with it. There's not much of a point in making a long, elaborate speech when the only people seeing the warnings are the Mods.

The Moderators did NOT abuse the warning bar-- the members abused the right to view the warning bar. I can understand why cmonkey took it away. It caused more harm than it did good, thanks to a few idiots.

But, I think that it's a good idea that if cmonkey does bring it back, then he should delete the warnings, so people don't go freaking out again. If cmonkey does this, then I believe that the Mods and Admins should give reasons for giving out a warning, such as "Spamming" or "Flaming".

I couldnt agree more! although retarded maybe the way someone acts when spamming, or flaming, they should state the reason, like you said...

We don't need a warning bar to see how stupid people are. Their actions account for the majority of people knowing their stupidity.

I agree with the warning bar coming back. Because if I do something wrong, I would much rather see it in the form of a warning then a one or two day ban.

Sometimes it's a little hard to understand the rules. Sometimes you don't realize you're flaming. PatrickStarr, don't even worry about what the Mods have put on your warnings, because you don't have any warnings. So just leave it alone.
