Thanks, PatrickStarr2k3.  And does it really matter if they're a few weeks old?  I mean, now it's not, so...

PCs:
-Give me nightmares.

Macs:
-Nothing rivals it's superiority.
-I've used Macs for 8 years.  Not once has it "crashed."
-No system pop-ups.
-The fastest internet browser out there.
-Movie editing and DVD burning apps bundled in.
-Mac OS X has been acclaimed as the safest OS in the world.
-Mac users never give viruses a thought. They don't bother us.
-All of Apple's computers are so much better than any Dell or HP crap.
-If it weren't for the Macintosh, there wouldn't be any "Windows."  Microsoft got all its GUI (Graphical User Interface) ideas from Apple.
-Anyone who is not using a Mac is seriously missing out.

1.  Purely opinion.  No fact to back it up.
2.  Macs crash.  In the short amounts of time that I've used them, I've seen them crash.
3.  I disabled most system pop-ups in Windows.
4.  Fast does not equal compatible.  It has trouble with many pages.
5.  Agreed.  The multimedia apps are great.
6.  It is safe, but only because nobody write viruses or bothers to find exploits for it.  That's because its not worth writing a virus specifically for the small number of Macs out there.
7.  See above.
8.  Again, opinion.  The best Windows computers are home made.  And price for price, they beat the pants off of anything from any company.
9.  True, but if it wasn't for Xerox, Apple wouldn't have had a GUI.  Research the Xerox Alto.

1.  I listed the facts to back it up.
2.  What version was it?  OS X is a lot more stable.
3.  That's great, but I don't even have to do that.
4.  I've never had trouble with any pages.
5.  Thank you.
6.  That's the whole point.  But also, I've had people write viruses for Mac and they don't do a thing.
7.  Uh, yeah, see above.
8.  Home made stuff is great, but a custom Mac beats a custom PC.  Basically, Apple has the most advanced processor.
9.  Yes, I know they got it from Xerox.  But Gates took all of Jobs' ideas.

Let me interpetrate.

1. There was fact. Fact is Mac OS X has gotten pretty stable! The dual 2GHz G5 must be like... GOOD!!!
2. Macs don't crash. If Macs crash, it's not OS X.
3. I didn't have to do that either.
4. I had no trouble with pages at all.
5. Yes.
6. That's the good thing about it. No one bothers, so we're in the clear. Viruses would fail anyways also. Too safe!
7. ^^^^
8. Homemade Macs pwn Homemade PC's.
9. Yep, thanx to Xerox.

There are no home made Macs.  You can't buy parts and build one.  You can buy one and then upgrade it, but thats not the same.

Yes there are, but that's not even the point.  To get a half-way decent PC, you gotta custom build it.  For a Mac, you buy one and your set.

Yes, a Dual 2GHz G5 from factory costs about $3000.00 USD, and it's speed is equivalent to an Alienware Aurora customized with $15,000.00 USD to it's name. Maybe a little faster. Vurginia Tech built the world's 3rd fastest supercomputer which was 10 teraflops, and cost 5.2 million dollars USD. The fastest is 35 teraflops but cost 550 million dollars USD.

Macintosh IS NOT BAD people.

Uhh, like I said before.
-Steve Jobs did NOT invent the first GUI. Xerox did.
-Apple computers may be good computers, but all the hardware is only mad by Apple, so they can charge whatever they feel like.
-Most good PCs aren't made by Dell or HP, you build them yourself. You save a LOT of money doing it that way. You can't do that with an Apple.
-Most people are going to use the movie editing software.
-Microsoft still has very good browsers, such as Opera.

2.  Yes, but whatever it costs, it's certainly worth it.
3.  Yes you can.
4.  Exactly.
5.  Microsoft didn't make it.  And it's available for Mac as well.  In fact, when you go to there website, the first thing it talks about is Opera 7.50 for Mac OS X.

1. True.
2. It's always more than it's worth.
3. That's true. I was comparing 2 Computers the same price, though, so it's fair.
4. W007.
5. [uhh]Opera's for Mac, but at the homepage it talks about it for WinXP[/uhh]
(Adding on) -Macs are alot prettier than PCs. In all places.

*EDIT* I am editing this on Opera. It dosen't give up and crash like IE6. And GIFs run while scrolling.

THIS topic should be pinned

There is no such thing as peace and there never will be. Peace is a delusion believed by the weak. Gandhi said : "An eye of an eye would leave the whole world blind". So be it because only a blind world can experience the peace that it deserves. But there in lay the sick irony. Who will be able to see this peace? The human species is at war. The enemy walks among us nearly invisible. Only those with true discernment can see them. But only one with discernment and vision can show them to others

I could build a computer that outperforms a dual G5 for less than $3000.

They did use it.  The second version of the Alto went retail.  The problem was that it cost $15,000, while a Mac was $2,000.  It was obvious which one the consumers went for.
