Well, rather then saying "Gay" like Edwards did, Kerry said "Lesbian" which is what made it sound so rude. His tone may have not been rude, but even some democrats I talked to where outraged about it.

Err, lesbian sounds no worse...

Gay seems so common....Lesbian is very rude since it's a woman your talkin' about.

Well, Edwards said it and they did not care. Why would they now?

It's probably the way Edwards did it. He was much more polite that Kerry. Kerry is just arrogant about everything. Besides, Edwards was talking directly to Cheney, that might have had something to do with it.

Err, did we watch the same debate? He did not say it arrogant.

Yep, I'm pretty sure we did. Kerry did not seem polite about anything but Bush was nervous as heck so he didn't look great either.
