We've hosted the Olympics 2 times in the last 10 years.  Is it really *that* big of a deal?

I know it wouldn't be amazing as much, but it's okay since New York is a very big city and all...

Houston was also in the National Running for 2012.

Hahaha, duh. SSS, they switch it over between teams. Each team will have a turn as Super Bowl hosts.

The choices are New York, London, Mardid, Moscow, and Paris for the 2012 Summer Olympics.  The last time we had a Summer Olympics was six years ago in Atlanta and before that twenty-one years ago in Los Angeles.  However, Vancouver was picked for 2010 Winter Olympics which gives Europe an advantage.  But New York has never had the Olympics and it would a good spot since the UN is there and millions of people around the world have come here in order to enter this brave new world.

Houston was one of the choices for hosting the 2012 Olympics, but the American Olympic Commite narrowed down to New York.  We shall find out on July the Fifth.

You forgot the fact that 9/11 happened there, and there is the Statue of Liberty over there symbolizing freedom and liberty.

I think it would be awesome to have the Winter Olympics in Antarctica, we all know they have the weather...and the space..

Nice fantasy, but it would be highly illogical.

Out of all the possible Olympic finalists, I tihnk it would be neat if London won the games.  I can't even remember an instance where the British have held the Olympic games...

They would have the weather, but you could find better snow. Besides, who's gonna travel to Antarctica to see the Olympics...

That's one of the options, but where it will be hosted is not decided yet.
