SpongeZone will be down for about ten minutes tonight around 12:30 AM EST so some general server updates can be made. Thanks!

Good thing it was late. A lot of servers I have used update at like 5-6 pm. I mean, do it at a time no one is on. It is annoying how a site is down at 5 pm when it could been down at 3 am.

Its especially annoying on game servers...they'll put the server down for 4 hrs during peak playing time...pfft...I give congrats to the new 'helper' around here for doing it at such a time...gw

there may be other things to do than computer, but thats no reason to kill 300 hits per hour for an update. On an average HL game server, 12 new people join in every hour. 12*24*365 = 105,120 hits...not bad...

Well, i think it should be at night when no one is on, it is pretty annoying.

Server updates are something that cannot be scheduled very well at all, because time is relative to where you are on the earth, so making everyone happy is impossible. 12:30 AM, Eastern time, is 9:30 PM to those in the Pacific time zone. Likewise, it is sometime in the morning in Europe durring this time. Not all SpongeZoners are from the United States.

Anyway, thanks for the positive remarks and I will continue to try my best to schedule updates at such times as to disrupt your SpongeZone surfing the least.
