In a recent article from Yahoo Business, Nickelodeon is rated as the top cable network both in total viewers and in all under 14 demographics. This isn’t surprising considering the huge popularity of many of Nickelodeon’s shows and how well they’ve expanded into digital platforms. For example Nickelodeon has seven of the top ten shows in the 2-5 year old demographics. And for the little older crowd, Nickelodeon’s Kids' Choice Awards had around 3 million viewers this year and was simulcast for the first time on Nickelodeon’s broadband video site TurboNick.

Nickelodeon has made significant and steady progress in online media platforms. Nickelodeon now operates two broadband sites TurboNick and Nick Jr. Video, two hub sites Nick.com and Nickjr.com, and numerous country specific sites. TurboNick averages about 20 million streams per month, while Nick Jr. will have its 100 millionth stream this year. Nickelodeon has also created a parent related site Nick Jr. Parents TV, which is also very popular.

Nickelodeon has created some very interactive and entertaining sites. Both Nick.com and Nick Jr.com not only offer video but music and games as well. To say Nickelodeon’s success is based solely on the younger crowds would not explain the ratings or the online traffic. And I have to admit SpongeBob is pretty funny.

They're not gonna get cancelled! They're just not going to make new episodes anymore. They might get cancelled in a few years, though.

That is stupid of them not to make new episodes anymore.  As long as they stayed away from secret agents and karate and kung-fu and stuff, Jimmy Neutron would have turned out good.  Fairly OddParents, might be better if they stop it early.

That's weird.  You never normally hear praise for Nick here.
