In many parts of the world, the family is under siege. It is opposed by an anti-life mentality as is seen in contraception, abortion, infanticide, and euthanasia. It is scorned and banalized by pornography, desecrated by fornication and adultery, mocked by homosexuality, sabotaged by irregular unions and cut in two by divorce.

My mom has been divorced twice and married three times... I am highly insulted by that. A family isn't made up by how many brothers or sisters you have, or if you live with both parents. Heck you don't even have to be related! A family is a group of people that deeply care for each other and share an unconditional love. Me and my sister have different fathers, so technically she is my half sister but I treat her like a real sister because I have known her all my life. You can't define a family as some perfect little two child, two parents household... because it just doesn't work that way all the time... this is the year 2005 Mike. Thigns have changed a lot since the 50's.

Good going!!!!

My boyfirnd lives with his mum, his brother and sister, who both ahve different fathers, and his step dad, who is not hte father of any of them.

his family is the happiest and most well adjsuted (wiht hte exceptio of the sister) i have ever met.

I have on older brother, my parents are together, adn we a very, very, dis-functional.

who cares whats around. Kids grow up smarter in "two mummy" or "two daddy" homes, adn i think the reason is the parents trying to prove biggots wrong :D

and i wouldnt stop using condoms msp, i dont wanna have to have an abortion.

Just me, older sister, two parents. My Dad was from Fiji, and I think he was divorced from an arranged marriage. Neither of the two wanted to even be together, so they did what was best and divorced. Then, he got married for love, not by tradtion, and then they have been married for 17 years now. Those are my parents. My oldre sister shoudk be moving out in about a year. But a family is people who care about each other. You dont have to be realted in any way.

My mom has for children, all of us have different fathers, and shes never been married. She is also isnt welcome at a lot of our family get togethers for some reasons I dont know. I dont consiter my actual blood relitives my family. My family is basically my close friends, who are all ages from 0-60+. We are all around happy people.

eh, i think its sick when people shun htier own family cos of somehitng mthey may not agree with.
i hated my grandad, but htats cos he was horrible, and i  hated him as a person. but htere is a difference between odmone doing somthing that may insult your morals, an someone just being a horrible person that you cant stand to be around.

I only really consider my immediate family and my gran my family. but my boyfirnds whole tribe thiks of me as family. which makes xmas a bit awkward :D

I know what you mean. Its kind of sad because my mom is the sweetest lady and is very easily hurt. My mom's step mother always sends both me and my brother presents on Christmas signed Grandma, but signs my little sisters as just her name. WTF kind of mind game is she tryign to play? Atleast my sister cant read, but it bothers my mom something feirce. I know it doesnt sound like a big deal but we were never close to this woman, yet she seems to treat us different. Youd think shed sign the four yearolds card grandma, not the teenagers. Oh well. I only raelly seem to make it a big deal because it effects my mother. I dont like to see her hurt :sad:

Nah man, it is a big deal.  It hurts to be excluded form the people who are supposed to love you the most.  Being petty and juvinile over somthing like a birthday card. those things have more signifigance, and wil stay with people longer than people like to think.  Sorry, but she sounds like a right royal b****.
We have a great aunt like that, she rings up and bosses us around, but she cant even sort her own life out.

She is a very unpleasent person. She is rather childish. Ive met children more mature then her. Oh well. Some people *shakes head*
