... Both companies will continue to develop thier products for now.  I'm guessing Adobe Systems will eventually phase out GoLive, Fireworks, and various other competing products, but the unique ones on both sides will obviously remain.

Flash is what most people use to make those cartoon animations that you see online. The bad thing about it is that it costs a bundle. I'm not sure of the price, but I think it's pretty steep.

I wish they hadn't bought them out. I have Flash and Dreamweaver and I hope Adobe don't muck those two programmes up....

Flash is actually pretty cheap (~$89) but Shockwave is EXTREMELY expensive (~$700)
