What Is The Best Program For Playing Video Clips?
« on: May 03, 2005, 05:39:06 pm »
I tried Winamp and Windows Media Player, but neither of them play .avi files for me.  Can someone please recommend me one that plays all types of them.  Thank You.

DivX player is pretty good, but WMP and Winamp should both play them.  I don't understand why they don't.

you need divX and Xvid to run them. I run mine in Windows Media Player. I hate using anything else.

I use Windows media player 10 and that seems to do everything I want except for some video clips which need DivX which is still pretty good I guess.

Another thing is that if you want to play real media and dont want the player.
Get this and dont install the media player (in the insyaller) if you are happy with your Media player.

What about infren view? it seems to rock
There is no such thing as peace and there never will be. Peace is a delusion believed by the weak. Gandhi said : "An eye of an eye would leave the whole world blind". So be it because only a blind world can experience the peace that it deserves. But there in lay the sick irony. Who will be able to see this peace? The human species is at war. The enemy walks among us nearly invisible. Only those with true discernment can see them. But only one with discernment and vision can show them to others

Video Lan Client - http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
It is an excellent media player that plays many major formats.  This has recently led to some patents problems (because it supports so many different codecs).  Very nice peace of software and works on almost any OS imaginable.
