The greatest heretic of them all, Luther taught that all sins are equal and all sins will equally ::Dolphin Noise::ate you.  I do not believe this.  My Church says that there are 2 degrees of sin:

Mortal sin and Venial sin.

Mortal sins, as you know, are the BAD ones.  Venial sins are just the bad ones.

If you die in the state of mortal sin, you go to h.e.c.k.  Mortal sins range from murder to sexual misconduct to adultry and other evil evil sins.  

Venial sins are like losing the temper or cheating on an exame or stealing a nickle or whatever.  or overeating I guess.  A temporary burst of the temper can NEVER equal the sin of adultry or homosexuality.  Therefore, all sins are not judged equally, as the One Holy Catholic & Apostolic Church teaches.

Well yes but sin is forgiven by going to confession and promising never to do it again and truly believing you'll never do it again.

Christ is the Second Adam.  The first Adam brought sin into the world, the Second Adam took sin out of it.  Isn't it beautiful?  I wrote that.

Saint Dominic Savio said on the day of his first Holy Communion:

1: I will make Jesus and Mary my best friends
2: I will pray often
3: I will go to Holy Communion often.
4: I will recieve the Sacrament of Confession often
5: I will rather die than commit a sin
6: I know SSj4gogita is gonna post here again.

Not true. Sin is Sin end of story. Taking candy from a baby is just as bad as killing someone. Sin is sin.

Bull. Luther was a man of God who taught people the TRUE meaning of salvation. Sin is sin. If you have even comitted a "small" sin, such as lying, cheating in school etc..., you are ::Dolphin Noise::ed to he!!. If you have even had a dirty thought you are no holier than Marilyn Manson. The only thing to save you then is the Blood Christ shed for us on that sad Day. Sin is sin is sin, and God judges it all equally, and whether you believe me or not, you'll learn this some day.

MSP, you need to really look at what matters. All the rituals and teaching of the church are USELESS if you haven't accepted Christ as your Saviour, regardless of whatever a man in pulpit tell you. Is your church wrong in some instances? Yes.

Yes, it falls under the just plain rude category, but so does this whole thread. MSP stated what he thinks, but in a way that he says he's right. I do not believe what he has to say. But if I said so, I'd be considered stupid and blind, and he'd go over to a different message board and flame liberals just to annoy me.

MSP, Martin Luther was a great man of God. You are again shoving your opinion in everyone's face. Like people said earlier, sin is sin. All sin is the same. Isn't anything is right. There is no difference between killing and stealing candy from a baby.

Sin is wheneve you do something wrong, if you cheat on a test, you have commited a sin, you kill or insult or rape someone, that is sin. I must agree with MSP (wow, this is probably the first time I agreed with him ever) in that there are severities of sins, EVERYONE MAKES MISTAKES, and supposedly god understands this, so if you just steal a persons pencil or cheat on a test it can be forgiven, but if you kill or rape someone, unforgivable.
