What exactly should be done to stop it? And how can the children recover?

Nothing can be done to stop it. It will keep happening because there is always 1 perverted freak out there.

We should be able to provide counseling for the children, and promise that it won't happen again. As far as the pedophiles, rusty scissors?

You can't make promises like that to children.

I think any man caught in child abuse and/or rape should be "fixed". Don't know what to do with the women.

You know when you take a dog into the vet to have him fixed so he can't aid in reproduction?

You can't "stop" child abuse. A lot of the time this begins to happen when the child is very young and they think it is normal for the majority of their life, and when they start to realize it isn't normal they're usually too scared to tell anyone about it, probably because they still love their parents and know they'll have to leave them. Or maybe they're scared for their lives, thinking that if they tell anyone their parents will find them and hurt them even more.

Yeah, I don't know if that's really abuse though. More like neglect. My mom used to leave me in the car all night when I was little.

Exactly. Of course, the abuser is a sick person and all, but in those cases the parental figure is equally guilty for not taking proper care, and for being an idiot.

its real child abuse, neglect is a real big issue, kids are less likely to achive, and way more likely to kill themselves if they are neglected.
its just another form of abuse, there are four main types, physical, emotional, sexual and neglect.
did your mum take the lighter out of the car when she left you in??
thats terrible, sorry, but htat creeps me out

What do you mean the lighter? She just...went into somebody's house or whatever and I would wake up and nobody would be there and I'd just be really scared and then I couldn't unlock the doors to get out because some weird child lock thing was on.
