Who do you think is going to win the Super Bowl?

That was a horrible call by the refs. My friends and I were disgusted. The ball landed a few inches away, and then he shoved the ball over the goal line. Bad call...

I'll point out a few bad calls made by the refs.

1) First touchdown (pointed out by Sean)
2) One of the fumbles (I believe 4th quarter) where Seattle quarterback lost it and recovered by Steelers but it was reviewed and Seattle got it back.
3) The "offensive pass intereference" call. Both men were pushing on each other and even if seattle didn't "push" before the ball was thrown, the steelers player was at least 2 yards behing him. He could not get to the ball.
4) Game was fixed :P Thanks refs.

Just plain terrible officiating.  What a way to have the Super Bowl go down.

I disagree with #1.  A touchdown is scored when any part of the ball crosses the plane above the edge of the white line, regardless of where it eventually lands.  The ball crossed, and was then pushed back out, and finally moved into the end zone.  The first instance of it crossing in constituted a touchdown though.
I agree with #3 though.  It was a bit much to call that pass interferance.

Anyway, I enjoyed the game and the rioting down by Pitt after the game.

I'm sure they could've scored anyway but the qb was down and then he pushed the ball across the plane after the play was over.

No, I realize that he put it in after he was down.  That's not what the refs were looking at, or why he scored the touchdown though.  The point is that while he was still in the air, the ball went over the line.  He was then pushed backwards, before he was down, sending the ball back from the end zone.  After he was down, he put the ball into the end zone, which didn't mean anything, and isn't why the touchdown counted.

Seriously...just get over it.

The game wasn't officiated as badly as everyone's saying.  Every game has a few bad calls.  This is no exception.  If your team is losing, you're going to notice all the bad calls just so you can blame it on the officials.

Pittsburgh won fairly.

The Super Bowl is WAYYYYYYYYYY overrated.

All I watched was the Stones in the half-time show and they sucked.

The ball didn't even reach the goal line while he was in the air.

actually, it did cross the line when he was in the air.  when he landed, however, the force of whichever steeler was below him caused him to be forced backwards, and then he was unsure, because how would he know if it crossed?  so he tried to put it back over the line.

Meh, I guess we'll both disagree with each other. I still say it didn't cross the line.
