I've heard alot on this. Big hype for the program.

But I still think that winamp's visuals (Milkdrop) are second to none. Therefore I'll never prolly use anything else.

You can only by from the iTunes store. Plus, if you just see what they are gonna try to do with Songbird.. well... Your question frustrates me. <_< Let me try to put it in a diffirent way. SongBird will have extensions, themes, be open source, features, mobile device support, internet browser, rss capability beyond iTune's, support more extensions (like flac and etc), be developed with FireFox's xul and such... I could go on and on...

Does a program for playing music really need themes?

No.

I don't see any problem with iTunes, so I'll continue to use it.

Sounds to me like this program is only going to get popular because some people don't want to use a program developed by a major company.

iTunes is stupido. One of the reasons why I sold my iPod. The other reason is because I can save a lot by just going to another place such as buy.com and get songs cheaper, such as at 79 cents per track. The feds are even currently looking at the price of tracks in iTunes to see if their prices  can be lowered...

iTunes is good. It has 1 dollar music, shows (some 2 dollar), all that stuff. I dont need cheaper than that. I dont have an mp3 player so I do not need to use it outside, and iTunes is a good media player too. Besides, if you really need to use it on a non-iPod Mp3 player, just download a freakin converter.

i wasted money on converters. iTunes uses a special format in mp4 (Yes, i know that format is usually for movies) where you cant convert it into an mp3 or whatever. plus, i tried that vice versa with buy.com with their windows-based audio files that dont play on iPod since they dont play anything windows in the first place and it wouldnt convert enither.

and probobly the only reason i need it cheaper is because i usually pinch pennies and look for good deals; i go on ebay a lot as well. lol. :P

the ipod is pretty nice, if a bit easy to scratch. to be honest though, if im going someplace on the road, i prefer talk radio (funny talk radio, not limbaugh). i use itunes because its simple. i can easily find a song in my collection, and iTunes will run away in the background without causing any trouble.
