I don't own it, but I'd say Gran Turismo 4. Sweeeetest nonsense ever. I played a demo for 10mins and was hooked...

Otherwise, I'd say Freespace 2. But alas...it was released in 1999....lol

Go get that game right now. And if you can't find it, I'll send it to you (the EULA allows for free distribution)
