Before I´d watched the whole of the episode:´The Graveyard Shift´, I thought the hash-slinging slasher would look like a lurch covered in mash potato, with red rags around it, with strings of corned beef attached to the spatula hand.

Covered in mould.

You forget; that isn't the Hash Slinging Slasher. It's just somebody who happened to come to the Krusty Krab on the bus in the middle of the night forcing Squid to jump to the wrong conclusions.
Now, if there were a real Hash Slinging Slasher, I reckon he'd look like... um... you know? that spectre? Man Ray without teh costume?
