Love is love; you should be able to have the freedom (land of the free) to marry who you want. It should be the people's choice to decide if they want to marry same-sex people or not, that goes with religion. If they're gay, but very religious, then for God's sake don't marry them, just live with them. If they're gay and not very religious, then go ahead and get married. Separation of church and state, combined with the freedom of the American people should prove that gay marriage should be allowed. Have the government allow it, let the people make the choice as to how THEY want to live. Don't deny them equal rights just because some people are homophobic. Also, homophobia is ignorant. I would really like to see there be a homosexual president at one point, that would be great. People are people; don't put homosexuals into another species just because of their sexuality.
That being said, I voted for the first one.
