Is it true that the writers were fired?

I heared a rumor that the writers of Spongebob were fired after season three. Is it true? If so, why were they fired?

Seems likely since most of the writers of season4 and 5 are new

I don't think so. I think a lot of them are still there, like Aaron Springer I believe is still there. But a lot moved onto different shows, for example, Camp Lazlo, or Billy and Mandy.

I know Derek Drymon isn't writing anymore, and he was like main guy who basically MADE SpongeBob Seasons 1-3. That I think explains the big difference in quality from then and now.
