ibooks aren't that great.  Powerbooks on the other hand are awesome. (and extremely expensive)

I hear their nice.
Mac's are generally pretty, and well performing. Most people dont like them because they are different.
Ive used many a mac, quite possibly more than anyone else on these boards, all ranging differently in performance and hardware.

I did use the PB G4 and iBook G4 for decent amounts of time, both at MacWorld and my  friends. Coolest feature in my opinion is the backlit keyboard...

My teacher got a PowerBook G4. I heard iBooks aren't as good as a PowerBook, but still fast. I can't get expensive, but I want good performance.

The Macs i've used are a Performa (last of the line) iBook G3, Power Mac G3 and G4, and soon to use a G5.

It's a dispute between iBook and PowerBooks for me now.

PowerBooks are a little better, but I agree that if you want something a little cheaper, go for the iBook.

I'm trying an iBook right now. The keyboard has no elevation, so I'd like to get a PodiumPad for it. Otherwise, it's good.
