Hey Kids.
The server switch appears to be done, and we are at the new domain name http://www.unitedspongebob.com/. If you go to the old address, you will get bumped over here.
Welcome to Boston :)

Xbox Live is amazing. Nintendo WiFi is just good. Comparing them isn't possible.

To find your computer's temperature, I recommend SpeedFan (while other people use other stuff...please recommend another program if you use a different one). SpeedFan can be found here: http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php

I guess you have a great cooling supply? I hate having my computer on for more than a week. I feel like it's going to die or something.

Hmm. Well, those two computers are not running windows, so they tend not to become unusable after long uptimes.

Site News / Prom + MySQL Crash
« on: May 14, 2005, 02:20:26 pm »
Hello There.
Because cmonkey and I are busy preparing for prom tonight, the forums decided to suprise us with a death in the server family.
I have revived it for now, but if it dies again, its not my fault.
Good Luck.

Computers & Video Games / .htaccess Alternative

You can store your password as an md5.
example

$mypasswordmd5 = md5('mypassword');
print $mypasswordmd5;

That will print a encoded irrevirsible version of the password. Then you can say,
$mypasswordmd5 = '78csd987das67da9dsa5';
 and check it with:

if(md5($givenpassword) == $mypasswordmd5) {
print 'Access Granted';
}

Outdated, but you get the general idea. Add about 6 newer computers to those pictures, and their current. :)

Computers & Video Games / School Computers
« on: January 31, 2005, 01:09:21 pm »
Id like to point out something.
I am a senior, and happen to have been placed in charge of network operations at my school.
-School computers do not arrive "stupid, retarded, and slow". In fact, they arrive in a quite desireable state. It pains me to put perfectly working computers in a classroom, to come back two weeks later to find the machines in disarray. People steal parts from the computers, then come back and complain about their inability to use the computer because it is lacking a mouse.
-Regarding the internet filtering: I am sorry, but censorship drives this country. In the state of Connecticut, a public school with an internet connection, and inadequate filtering is at risk of loosing their technology funding. That means NO NEW COMPUTERS. Also, Internet filtering is a completely insane concept. Do you expect someone to correctly classify every one of the billions of web pages on the internet? I certainly dont.
-Be happy your school has computers that work at all. Its a heavy task to maintain more than 100 computers, especially when you have a population of students who seek to destroy them.

The bottom line is, quit complaining, and dont be idiots.

Hey All.
Did a couple updates this evening:
-Video Games section has a few minor clean up issues, maybe I will add a few games soon.
-Added Amazon.com links for all products we review. This includes DVD's, Books, Video Games, and soon to be the rest of the merchandise section.

Check it out!
