You should install Service Pack 2. If you do not like the security center features, disable them. But for the good of the world, keep SP2 installed. It has security patches that can save you from some rather destructive network worms and viruses. And if you think your too good, or immune to get them, your not. Take advice from me, I handle a few more computers than your average schmuck (200+), and all the PCs running Windows XP have been patched and updated to the max, regardless of any minor downsides. You DONT want to become a security hole.
Yeah, so, keep SP2.  

And- Knoppix isnt really a terrific hard-drive installed OS. Get a true from-hard disk distro like Gentoo, Debian, Ubuntu (A customized debian distro), or even Fedora (Shudder).  :biggrin:

Yes, it was down from 4:30-9:00PM EST. Everything is back up and functioning, and those on broadband should notice a little bit of a speed increase.

Unfortunately, my processor is 800Mhz FSB and my ram is running at 333Mhz because I have some old stuff in there.. But I think having more ram balances that out.  :biggrin:

The site has been converted to use PHP instead of iframes

What does that mean?

It means that instead of having a file for each page you go to, the files are created automatically.

Think of it like this: Everytime you write a paper, or draw a picture on your computer, you save them as a seperate file. This way, Your creating lots of pictures and papers, but saving them as one file that is intelligent about how it opens each one..

That may be a tricky explanation, but its easier than not knowing at all.
