Languages are  hard from some people, Timo. You need to understand that. With some people (Not piointing out people in particular) learning English is hard enough.

All you have to do is study.

Picking up a second language, learning it, and fluently speaking it is hard for some people. Its not just a matter of study.

Also, we dont hhave time for it. Kids have a lot of schoolwork the day they reach Middle school. and adults have other things to tend to.

For real.  A large percentage of people on this board don't even know English, they should probably leave French alone.

Spanish/French = easy.

The easiest and fastest way to learn another language is to be immersed in that language and being forced to speak it.

English is one of the hardest, probably aside from Chinese (Not Japanese, Japanese has sounds for every characters). We have no accent marks which makes spelling so easy in french, spanish etc.

Don't be so silly....I've learnt 5 languages.

German
French
Japanese
Russian
Italian
Latin (does that count?)

I learnet my Japanese by watching anime in japanese with english subtitles, then watching the same episode again but with japanese subtitles.
My russian is purely from my interest in Russia...it's awsome.
French and german are compulsory in the UK...you MUST learn them.
Italian...well...watching motorcycle races you always hear italian....since it's a big sport there.
Latin, I enjoy it. :)

Yu don't have to really practice ALL the time...but if you like a certain language more than another, you will learn it easier.
I learnt Japanese really quickly because I love the language, although I cannot read or write Japanese. ^_^;
