The older video games are so much better then the current ones.  Sure, they don't have the same graphics, but they sure are more fun.

Lemmings, Pacman, Pong, Adventure, Frogger, Tetris, Donkey Kong, Asteroids, Duck Hunt, Mario, Space Invaders, Moon Patrol, Bubble Trouble...

They rocked.

I enjoy the classics. but I wouldn't say that they're better than what we have now.

I agree. They were so simplistic in nature, yet challenging enough to keep you wanting more. I still play my sister's old NES. We've been buying games for it off Ebay.

But the newer games are really good too. Advancements in technology are a good thing.

OFFTOPIC: Welcome back Banana. You've been missed.

I love Pacman!!!! I have Ms. Pacman for Sega Genesis. A classic! I've played some of the others on my computer, like Asteroids.
Mr. Krabs: Do you smell it..that smell...a kind of smelly smell...a smelly smell that smells smelly. Anchovies.
Squidward: What?
Mr. Krabs: ANCHOVIES!
Anchovies: MEEP, MEEP, MEEP.

I probably won't be on here too much being in college and all. I will try to pop on every once in a while though to share my thoughts.

Tetris is awesome. That would be the only game I'll play if C adds Arcade.

Old school games are great because the limitations of the systems allowed developers to focus on gameplay instead of graphics. Now, with systems like the Gamecube, PS2 and Xbox, most developers are in a competition to make the best graphics, because what's going to sell better, a game that has a few screenshots on the back showing off the amazing graphics, or a game that says "This game has excellent gameplay!" on the back?

Also, an interesting, somewhat related fact: Mario's look was due to the limitations of the older systems. Back then, it was easier to animate a cap than hair and it was easier to animate a mustache than a mouth.

Also (again), why are old-school games so much harder? When I unlocked the original Metroid after beating Metroid: Zero Mission, i was suprised at how difficult it was. And when I played Zelda 2 on the Collectors Edition thingy for Gamecube, I couldn't even beat the first palace.

The old school games weren't hard, the new games are just too easy.

There are too many supid games out there. they should kick them from the market
There is no such thing as peace and there never will be. Peace is a delusion believed by the weak. Gandhi said : "An eye of an eye would leave the whole world blind". So be it because only a blind world can experience the peace that it deserves. But there in lay the sick irony. Who will be able to see this peace? The human species is at war. The enemy walks among us nearly invisible. Only those with true discernment can see them. But only one with discernment and vision can show them to others

like the games that never sell. they shouldn't be kicked since the majority of games fail. therefore there would be no games to buy.
