As you may know if you saw da Nick today

Nickelodeon's Worldwide Day of Play
12:00 PM ET -Nickelodeon-
This isn't so much a "Best Bet" as it is a "FYI": from noon until 3 p.m. today, Nickelodeon will go off the air -- for the first time ever -- to encourage kids around across the globe to go outside and play. That's right, you heard me. A TV network is asking kids to turn off the boob tube. More than 650 organizations in five countries (including the United States) are taking part. Later in the day, Nick will air live segments from their studios in Los Angeles featuring musical performances by Hilary Duff, Romeo and Mase, as well as extreme sports stunts and tips on how to stay active and fit. Nice work, guys.

Theres something extremely messed up about that last sentence.

i think this idea is utter bullcrap. so what if nick is off air? i barely watch that channel anyway. i can live 3 hours without watching nick. i will just watch vh1 or a game

I still think this idea sucks because like spongemonkey13 said theres other channels, its not very encouraging not to mention not very professional -__-

i play outside but i was just saying there are other channels. most kids can figure that out. i think its just a scam. they didnt feel like paying for 3 hours of broadcast so they shut it down

You know, a still TV screen telling you to go outside isn't going to do the trick.  It's the parent's job to get their kids outside.  Not some TV channel.  And if you want to give your kids some extra incentive, go play with them.  Then they might actually have some fun, and then might want to go outside more.

Well, just 'cause Nick is off the air, doesn't mean kids are gonna go outside and play. They may stay inside and lay video games, they may play a board game, or they might watch someyhing ese. I heard about this on the radio earlier this morning.

Great idea. I was playing outside yesterday and hurt my butt quite a few times going down a steep hill on a skateboard playing 'Bumper Cars' with my friends. Ouch.

I just thought of something I own 15 animes on DVD duh how stupid am I. Very stupid!!!! I don't think they code magically put on my DVD's
