The DS. First of all, the PSP had a good initial release, but there are few new games on the horizon. It seems that over half of the PSP items are movies. You might as well call the PSP a movie device that plays games on the side. The DS has fewer games, but at least they're being released more consistent.

Its seems that all Nintendo products, especially here in the UK, totally go over 90% of the populations heads.

In the UK, we have this ridiculous thing that seems to be the"in thing" now which is being a Chav, a Chav is basically the gang/football culture but gone stupid (It is here in Middlesbrough anyway), kids are abusive to everyone, adults/teens walk around drinking 2.99 bottoles of wine, its stupid, and i cant see why people do it (plus they wear ridiculous amounts of fake bling bling, and crap adidas trousers and burbery caps)...anyway, you may be sitting there thinking, what does this have anything to do with the DS or the PSP?

Well, the PS2 and the Xbox are seen as the cooler consoles to have, mainly because they are straight forward, you pick up the pad, and play. So its easy for all the Chavs to get the hang of. Nintendo however, they go for originality, which I think is brilliant, the touch screen, microphone, everything you can think of to make a console interesing and new, but, because of that, its seen as childish, and stupid on most of these peoples eyes. (i know, its sounds dumb what I'm sayig, but i mean it) whereas if you compare it to the dead easy to use PSP and its poinless cool "SONY" logo, the majority of the UK would snap that one up like that.

Anyway, so here in the UK, if you gave most people the choice, i reckon they'd go for the PSP because its just more cool than the DS.

I'd choose the DS though any day!

Both.

However, I play my PSP more simply because I own more games for it than the DS. That's the DS' biggest weakness... almost a year, and the good stuff is only now coming out.

As for the quality of the games each has to offer, I'm undecided.

Both have pros and cons.

DS: you can simply never beat Nintendo, they have the best games.

PSP: You can play movies, acsess the internet, download SNES games, store music.

They are pretty hard to compare.

I choose neither, as neither has games that interest me.  Most of it is just console games rehashed.
